I giorni passano, ormai non sappiamo nemmeno più, di preciso, da quanto tempo siamo chiusi nelle nostre case in quarantena a causa del Covid-19, quasi nessuno ironizza più su questo, pochi tengono il conto. Proprio in questi giorni (oggi è il 4 aprile 2020) in cui il Governo ha prolungato fino al 13 aprile la quarantena, mentre si rincorrono voci secondo le quali non usciremo fino a fine maggio, si sta facendo strada una condizione nuova nei quarantenati. Pazienti, amici e conoscenti mi raccontano che, chiusi nelle loro case, iniziano a sentire che qualcosa in loro sta cambiando, che l’ansia e la paura stanno cedendo il passo alla depressione, alla tristezza all’umore che scende e si fa più pesante, a volte persino insopportabile.
I primi giorni abbiamo cucinato pizze e ci siamo improvvisati pasticceri; abbiamo passato molto tempo con i nostri cari e abbiamo ringraziando il Covid-19, almeno, per questo; ci siamo ritrovati, in massa, in quel contenitore virtuale che è Facebook: ci siamo incoraggiati e scambiati informazioni, aiuti e sostegno.
Mano a mano che il tempo passa e le giornate iniziano a farsi tutte uguali, per molti inizia a farsi strada, prepotente la tristezza, l’umore che diventa sempre più basso e depresso. Questi stato di depressione a volte è persistente durante tutta la giornata, più spesso mi viene riferito è un andamento altalenate, tipico di questo disturbo, ma il comune denominatore è che quando ti prende sembra non darti scampo e ti butta nello sconforto.
Non dobbiamo cedere al pensiero che non ci sia soluzione e che solo la fine della quarantena ci salverà, anzi! Stare bene si può, vi voglio dare due consigli:
Primo: non esitate a chiedere aiuto, cercate una persona specializzata e competente in materia (psicologo), in quanto personale sanitario, oggi più che mai, stiamo continuando a offrire i nostri servizi.
Secondo consiglio che vi voglio dare per migliorare il vostro umore e uscire dalla tristezza è questo: trasformatevi! Perché quando tutto intorno a noi cambia, anche noi dobbiamo cambiare, per non restare travolti. Non possiamo più essere, adesso, le persone che eravamo due mesi fa: non possiamo fare le stesse cose, non possiamo rivestire gli stessi ruoli, non possiamo avere le stesse relazioni. E dunque? Dunque dobbiamo cambiare.
Vi racconto questo aneddoto, vero:
Durante la quarantena, un’azienda cinese aveva tutti i suoi dipendenti commerciali a casa a girarsi i pollici. Ha quindi deciso di trasformarli in tutt’altro: non potevano muoversi e andare in giro a vendere, quindi li ha fatti diventare influencer, ognuno si è messo a scrivere e pubblicare contenuti sui social, da zero. Alla riapertura dopo due mesi di quarantena, l’azienda ha ricominciato con il 200% in più di fatturato.
Quindi, so che non è facile perché siamo in casa, ma nemmeno impossibile, grazie a internet: sperimentatevi in cose che non avete mai fatto, esponetevi su strade mai provate per vedere se ci sono altre cose che possano diventare parte di voi, sbizzarritevi, siate creativi, siate audaci. Questa è la vostra occasione per farlo!
Vi auguro che questo periodo possa diventare davvero proficuo per le vostre vite, vi auguro di poterlo vivere davvero intensamente, riscoprendo chi siete, ma anche chi potete essere. Ricordatevi che il tempo è sempre prezioso, fatene buon uso.
